Trying.
It seems like a
simple concept, right? To try is the most basic action we can undertake.
So why is it so
difficult?
It seems I'm
always caught between not trying hard enough and trying too hard. I'm either
walking casually or sprinting towards the goal. And since I can't always sprint,
I quickly revert to a slow trot.
This isn't an effective
way to exist.
To jog, to combine
vigor with restraint, depresses me. But maybe if I kill two-thirds of my dreams
and practical goals, the one-third of each that survive will be enough to live
on.
Enough to live on and dazzling, to boot.
